New TravelSafe stickers on trams and buses in Greater Manchester

Starting in mid-January 2026, new stickers have appeared on Bee Network buses and Metrolink trams with a short message and a QR code linking to the Greater Manchester Police TravelSafe LiveChat 24/7 site, where you can press a small blue circle at the bottom right of the screen enabling GMP to contact you via live chat if anti-social behaviour or safety incidents are happening on public transport. The TravelSafe scheme itself seems to have launched in October 2025, fairly recently.

The first time I noticed the stickers on trams was 20 January 2026, and here are some pictures I took from that day:

Picture onboard tram 3033 that has not had TravelSafe stickers added yet.

Not every tram has had the stickers added yet, and I’m sure it’s the same with Bee Network buses. Quite a few trams didn’t have the stickers on.

Taken on either tram 3056 or 3074, also without stickers.

On 20-22 January 2026, I recorded that about 55% of the tram fleet had them installed. A month later, that number has increased as you’d expect, though I’m not sure by how much yet.

Taken on tram 3020, with stickers next to the seats and next to the doors.

All trams that have the stickers will have them next to the seats as shown in the picture in the bottom left, but only some are next to both the seats and on the left side of the doors.
