Metrolink Insights and Metrolink Capture!
My aim with these two channels is to show a different side of the Metrolink network that people don’t see on the surface.
Metrolink Insights leans more towards the conversations and insights into the operations and hidden features, whilst Metrolink Capture focuses on quietly capturing the network in the present.

I started this channel just as a tram-spotter, posting short videos of trams. I like to call that my first format for this channel.
I changed it up for a second format and started making longer, edited videos, including The Remains of the Oldham Loop.
After I realise the lack of Metrolink content on YouTube, I start making videos focused on different parts of the network, like why trams at MediaCityUK always stop twice. That is what began the third format and what I now call the “Main Series.”

Lost Metrolink
Perhaps the Manchester Metrolink is now old enough to be given a series focusing on its lost elements. The infrastructure demolished and forgotten about, the tram stops closed over time, or the interesting features that nobody notices quietly dismantled. Let’s have a look at the lost elements of the Manchester Metrolink.
Metrolink Insights (Main Series)
This third format of Metrolink Insights brought a fresh new look to the videos, with a strong, recognisable format and structure. They range from 5 to 10 minutes long, the short length making the videos easily for viewers to digest.
The history of this channel is quite complicated: I’ve used it for different kinds of Metrolink videos in the past few years, but today is primarily for driver’s eye view content and occasional tram-spotting videos, like I used to do on Metrolink Insights for Series 1.
