Take a look at my two YouTube channels:
Metrolink Insights and Metrolink Capture!
My aim with these two channels is to show a different side of the Metrolink network that people don’t see on the surface.
Metrolink Insights leans more towards the conversations and insights into the operations and hidden features, whilst Metrolink Capture focuses on quietly capturing the network in the present.
Here’s the Metrolink Insights channel trailer… >>>
I started this channel just as a tram-spotter, posting short videos of trams in a group of videos I’ve now ordered as “Series 1”.
I started making longer, edited videos for “Series 2”, including The Remains of the Oldham Loop.
“Series 3” is after I realise the lack of Manchester Metrolink information both on YouTube and the internet in general, making videos hyper-focused on different parts of the Metrolink, like why trams at MediaCityUK always stop twice.

The history of this channel is quite complicated: I’ve used it for different kinds of Metrolink videos in the past few years, but today is primarily for driver’s eye view content and occasional tram-spotting videos, like I used to do on Metrolink Insights for Series 1.

Metrolink Insights - Series 3
Series 3 of Metrolink Insights brought a fresh new look to the videos, with a strong, recognisable format and structure. The thirteen episodes in this series range from 5 to 10 minutes long, the short length making the videos easily for viewers to digest.
